I have an 1894 takedown barrel in 38-55 and wanted to know if the threads on the portion that is screwed into the mechanism that locks the barrel to the frame are the same thread size and pitch as the barrel threads?

delta

Yes they are, thread size is .812 – 20 TPI.

All Winchester did was machine the threads off for 90 deg on either side.

Now my questions is why do you ask, Im curious
