When I click on a picture or file and it opens in a popup, the X won’t close it. I have to go back a page, then forward again, to get rid of it. I’m on a Samsung tablet running Android.

J B-
Sounds odd but sometimes I have to expand the pic a bit or click somewhere off the pic. Happens to me on my I-Pad and I-phone, hope it works on your tablet.

I’m on android too. When I view posts that have photos, I occasionally see the photos, either really small, or larger and mostly viewable. Clicking on these enlarges image so you can make out the detail. While photo window is opened the post is still viewable and scrollable on screen around the photo but picture box is blocking the majority of it (the post). Picture doesn’t move around, you can’t manipulate it and X doesn’t work. The only way out of this is as J B describes above back buttons, closing out and reloading post.
On the other hand, more the half the time, but not always, the post also includes the individual JPG links. Clicking on these open the pictures in a new tab that can simply be closed out at the top of the screen. This is the option I use but it isn’t always available. Pictures are bigger and can be manipulated to better view detail.
I assume when posting pictures there is an option for inserting pictures and another option for attaching pictures which leads to the reader seeing either a small photo or a jpg link, but that’s just guessing.
it does appear to be a bug on this Android device. Just passing along my observations. Looking at the photos you share of your various collections is half the fun of being a member ?
I’ve had the same problem over the past few weeks and agree with Brian’s solution. I use a Samsung tablet android OS.

I, too, have since discovered that clicking the link and not the image itself will work, as Brian describes.
