I have a very old version of IE, I think its Version 8 that I have to use to access some manuals. Any newer of version and they don’t work. I never use IE and Chorme for browsing for the same reasons Wincacher said.

Bob, how about giving it another try with an updated version of IE and with Chrome? The IE version I’m running is 11.540, and Chrome is 60.0.3112.113.

Rob,
I use Safari 10.1.2 and it works fine with all old magazines and all website options
I switched to Firefox 54.0.1, which updated to 55.0.3 and both worked fine with all old magazines
I switched to Chrome 45.0.2454.85 ( 64 bit ) and the 404 page came up, however I could view all website options and old magazines, but blurred. Program requested Adobe Flash.
I switched to updated Chrome 60.00.3112.113 Official Build 64 bit. Still got the 404 page, however i could read all old magazines but blurred. Program requested Adobe, which I installed and all magazines were perfectly clear. All website options work fine.
Summery:
Safari works as is, without Adobe
FireFox works fine without Adobe
Chrome ( updated ) still opens on the 404 page, but all website functions work, including magazines. Adobe improves Chrome magazines.
That’s my best as far as IT goes !
Bill
Thanks Gentlemen. Looks like we are making some good headway. Now if we could just straighten-out Bert…..but that’s another issue!

I just upgraded to 55.0.3 and it still does not let me see the first mag I select.

I use Adblock Plus. There is no rime or reason to it. After I upgraded I rebooted the computer and it acted like it always has, The first mag I select I can’t view, I always get in the sign in page. I rebooted just now and this time I could go to the first mag I picked but then two other ones I could not get to.

Once again I cannot view old magazine issues using Firefox. All it does today is cycle between search and sign in, search, sign in, ad infinitum. Switched to IE 10 and had no problem logging in but when I got to the magazine I wanted (Fall 1987), once I clicked on READ MAGAZINE an new page opened up with NOT FOUND 404 Error.

Gents, seems Firefox is problematic in viewing the magazine. Best to use either Chrome or IE.

Hi guys
I too am having trouble accessing the old magazines. I have used multiple up to date browsers and have tried logging in on several different devices. Still no luck. When I go to the magazine page it asks me to register or login, I login and then it loops me back to the main page. This all starts over when I try to open the magazines again. I know others have had issues but it sounds like eventually most get through. I haven’t been able to do that. I renewed my membership late Nov/early Dec, wondering if that has something to do with it. I had no problems prior to that. Any ideas guys?
Doug
Hi Doug,
Sorry you are having an issue.
What device are you using? Operating system and browser?

I was able to open most issues I tried yesterday but the one I was interested in (Fall 2006) wouldn’t open for me. Using Explorer on an I-Pad.

Hi Rob
I have tried using Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox. All updated versions.
As far as devices I use an iPad, iPhone, and sometimes but rarely a laptop.
It is interesting having read the forum it seems most can get through. I’ve tried several times thinking I could solve the issue changing browsers, devices, etc. It does make me wonder if my registration has a glitch after renewing. Prior to that I had no troubles ever. This isn’t something I can’t live with but you sure don’t realize how many times you reference back to those older articles. A very valuable feature for members for sure!
