This is what I get now after a few minutes when attempting to read any post.  The last time I saw this the website I was on had suffered a DoS attack.  Oh well, can’t see the eclipse either – must be related.  Laugh

I’m getting it too Error 504 and haven’t been able to get on to see the posts themselves until just now. I can get to every other part of the WACA site except to see the posts themselves. I tried my smartphone and it did it too. I’ll see if this posts uploads or I get the 504.

I can get to the posts if they don’t have many replies. If they have 10 (guessing) or more I get the 504. I tried threads with 12 and 15 replies and I get the 504 at 9 or less I get get to the page but its still real slow.

I just received an update from our website guru on the problem;

“The database tables that are used for the forum are getting quite large and are part of the slow website issues.”

Apparently, a “tune-up” can be done to the database that will help to improve the access speed. Not sure how long it will take to get it accomplished, so please be patient.

Hi Bert,

I am still getting the 504 Gateway Time-out for the larger posts both at home and on the road with my I-pad and laptop and the other posts are still slow.  Any progress on a fix?  It is VERY annoying.

Thanks,

Fellows,

I do not have any updated information on the issue as of this morning. I fully understand that it is aggravating for some of you, but technical issues are seldom an instant fix… I can only ask “Patience, Grasshopper”

After “404 Error” all day yesterday, it is working fine today.  Totally different look, but working fine.

Looks like they upgraded to a new forum software. It as fast as the old one now.
