OfflineIn order to directly upload pictures on the WACA forums, you first must be a WACA Member and properly logged in with your User ID & password. Second, verify that your pictures are .jpg or .jpeg format. If your pictures have a .heic or .avif file extension, you will need to convert them to the correct format (file extension) before attempting to upload them.
As a direct result of the vast number of criminal activities, foreign entities, and Spammers that infest the World Wide Web (internet) today, non WACA members (unregistered Guests) cannot directly upload pictures or ads to this website. Instead, you must use a third-party photo hosting website to upload your pictures and then post the URL to your pictures in your message post. If you have not previously posted to the WACA website, your first few messages will not be immediately posted until they have been reviewed by a Moderator or Admin and approved (or deleted if deemed inappropriate).
For all registered WACA members, the process to upload pictures is relatively simple;
1. Directly below the left corner of the message box is an active hyper-link “Upload Attachments” box that you need to select (click).
2. After clicking on the “Upload Attachments” the window “Select files” will open with + Add Files in the lower left corner. Select (click) on that option.
3. A new window will open on your device (computer, IPad, etc.) In that window, navigate to where you have your picture(s) stored.
4. Once you have located the picture(s) on your device, select the picture(s) you want to upload and click “Open“. This will load the picture(s) into the “Select files” box below your message box.
5. Place the cursor inside the message box where you want the picture(s) to appear, and then click on the “Start Upload” in the lower left corner of the Select files window. That will load the picture(s) into the message box.
6. Once all pictures are uploaded, scroll down and select (click) the “Submit Topic” option on the lower right side of your display screen.
Congratulations, you have now posted your picture(s).

OfflineThank you for this information Bert.
For clarity’s sake, what is the file size limit for a single uploaded photo? If a photo exceeds the size limit, does the system flag that fact to the user?
Is there a limit to the total number of photos that can be inserted into a single post?
Regards……..

I believe that 3 MB is the file size limit, but I have not tested it.
I suspect that the system will provide an error message if the files are too large.
I do not know what the limit is for the total number of pictures that can be inserted in a post, but based on what I have observed, it is not a small number. If by some odd chance that the limit is encountered, simply insert the additional pictures in a second message.

I am not seeing the ‘upload attachments’ hyper-link. I am a new guest user, could this be the problem? I am using an Ipad.
As I understand it the link is available to WACA members, you may link to a third party hosting site to share images.

As a WACA Guest, you do not have the requisite access rights to directly upload pictures. We do this to prevent illicit Spam from contaminating the WACA website.

OfflineStuart,
A nice post like that, is very much appreciated by all of us members.
Join the ranks and enjoy the many benefits, as a contributor, and regular poster. Heck the quarterly magazine that is professionally put together from some very knowledgeable members/Collectors, is worth it all by itself. IMO!
That’s a very nice short Rifle!
Thanks for sharing!

OfflineBorn and raised in New Braunfels moved to Fredericksburg 42 years ago. A lot of us long time residents are not real crazy about what has happened here. My background includes worldwide heavy construction. I never thought I would see a construction project in Fredericksburg with a tower crane.

We had to go to New Braunfels years ago when the Hummel Museum was there. My mother and my wife used to collect what I call targets. We are both of German decent and love the food in this area. I liked to go to the Admiral Nimitz museum. I forget the name of the gun shop that also sold the repo colts and such?
