Heather and Vinny Martin, the WACA board and Cody Firearms Museum pulled out all the stops to make the 50th Anniversary Cody Show special. My sincere apologies to anyone who wanted to go but was unable to do so. You missed an AWESOME show! I’d try to list the highlights but it’s past my bedtime and I’d be up until dawn as slowly as I type. Suffice it to say I hope I live long enough to attend another show of this caliber. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience!
Please feel free to post highlights and thank-you’s and have a safe trip home!

I couldn’t agree more… I am so appreciative of Vinnie & Heather and the entire crew that makes the WACA Cody show so special. I am always impressed with the quality & quantity of Winchesters on the tables. The knowledge that is shared freely by everyone will help to perpetuate our hobby! The banquet was alot of fun, the “buffet” was amazing… all you could eat Beef Tenderloin… oh my! The Apple Crisp dessert was to die for! The meal alone was worth the ticket price. Bert & I are already making plans for the 2nd Annual Unofficial, Informal, Pre-Cody Show BBQ Dinner Gathering as well! I can’t wait until next year!
What a great time. This was the first gun show (of any kind) that my wife has ever attended. She had a fun time and made a bunch of new friends. If you were able to stop by our display table to chat, thanks, and I appologize for talking your leg off. Beth says that I can be a little annoying in that way.

I had a wonderful time as usual. Didn’t buy a gun but started working on the possible purchase for 2. Henry Mero brought me box of new unprimed brass. Did buy a couple books. I bought a box of Winchester loaded Marbles Game Getter ammo. Jeff delivered a single cartridge that 1873man had sent for my singles collection. Thanks guys for the help.
But the greatest part of any show is sitting and talking with everyone. Especially those I only see or get to talk to at the shows. Not sure of my next show? Maybe Tulsa or Reno. But definitely Vegas, Colorado Gun Collectors and Cody.
Down sides. Airlines are incapable of getting anywhere on time and the TSA at Cody seems anti gun or in my case, anything gun related. Have been able to get through the last few years but with a lot of BS. Last year it took 4 agents to get 2 sets of loading dies through. This time only 3.

All around outstanding experience. Kudos to Vinnie and Heather, especially Heather since I didn’t see her sit down for four days!!! Also the wonderful camaraderie, and hospitality from Bert, Jeff, Elliot, Ben, Rob, Rick, etc. etc.
But I must say that the real HIGHLIGHT of the whole experience was getting to ride in Bert’s “Big Red Machine”!!! Apologies the the Cincinnati Reds…

I am thinking about putting a big white “WINCHESTER” logo decal on both sides of the bed for next year’s trip to Cody…
