Hi all, I have a first year 71 deluxe that I am open to trading. The stock is in nice shape with no cracks. Additionally the bluing is nice for being 91 years old. I’m currently looking for a Ruger No. 1 in 458 Lott. If you or someone you know has one and would be interested in trade / partial trade plus cash, I can share images etc.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment. I appreciate the input, especially from those of you who have been collecting Winchester commemoratives for a long time.

I understand the points being made about the market for Theodore Roosevelt consecutive sets, and the information on actual collector demand has been helpful.

One reason I initially valued this pair higher is the completeness of the set. TR43293 and TR43294 have remained together as a consecutive rifle/carbine pair and include the individual boxes and paperwork, along with the original Winchester two-gun shipping carton marked with both serial numbers. I haven't seen many complete consecutive sets offered with that original serial-numbered outer carton still present.

I'm not trying to argue with the experience represented here, and I appreciate the education. I'm going to reconsider the asking price based on the feedback I've received.

I'd still like to see the complete set stay together and go to someone who appreciates what it is. If anyone here has a serious interest in the pair, feel free to reach out to me privately with a reasonable offer.

Thanks again for all the information and help.

I am looking to source a 100% authentic, vintage early-1940s (gun is an 1941) and a late-1940s (gun is a 1949) factory Winchester Model 12 Trap wood set for a restoration project.
I am restoring an immaculate 1941 and a 1949 factory-milled duckbill Trap model. I require a period-correct, factory-checkered Trap buttstock and a matching checkered extension trap forend. Must be original Pre-64 vintage wood profiles (no post-1964 Y-Series, Sile reproductions, or modern field wood). Might consider a real nice custom set. Honest finish wear is perfectly fine, but the wood must be structurally sound without heavy sanding or major cracks.
Please PM me with clear photos and your asking price if you have a set or individual pieces available. Thank you!
