In Tom Rowe's book he states that Gary Quinlan is a collector of these scopes. I have no idea how to contact Gary. A. Hubalek was a noted shooter that made some scopes. He recommended using Lyman mounts. According to Quinlan the scopes were first advertised in 12/39 to mid 1948 in the American Rifleman.

I purchased this thinking it was a Fecker. After a long search I found the A. Hubalek #29 markings. I have read there were less than 100 made and some of those unmarked. This has nice glass, and a thin wire black center dot reticle. These scopes are all pre WWII I believe. $1000+shipping

Both Taylor and Cimarron rifles and pistols are made by Uberti and Pietta. They are all high quality firearms. Uberti is now owned by Beretta.

If it were my money and I wanted an 1876 primarily to shoot, I'd look for a good Uberti example in the chambering I wanted and go that route.

Looking for opinions on the 3 companies making the copies of the 1876. I have 3 Original 1886 in 50EX and 50-100-450..all high condition. Want an 1876 to shoot as I have plenty of Ammo Jamison 300 grain that I loaded. Has anyone preffered one over the other ie. Taylor, Cimmaron or Uberti. Don't trust the strength of an original 1876 with Smokeless. Bill
