The awards were handed out there also? Why was this not mentioned? I flew across the country to participate in a WACA event and apparently it went on without my knowledge.  I guess I should ask more questions, like "hey, is there a secret party I am not invited to?"

No one told me and I was there all day on Saturday until about 5pm.  I would have liked to have attended.  Where was the information posted?
Best Regards,

Jennifer and Vinny just mentioned it to us when we walked by.  They had sandwiches, drinks and dessert, and handed out the awards for the displays.  We actually came back hoping to see you guys there…..

This is either a late prewar or early postwar specimen, with relieved block and the earlier thimble knobs without directional marks, typical for that period of manufacture. The assembly mark "V41" is stamped on both base and bridge, as is the "F" code. This is a factory assembly, not a hybrid. The condition is as shown in the photos. In my opinion, very little used.

I suggest for the next meeting we establish a place/time for the WACA members to gather for a few minutes so we don't miss each other.
Best Regards,

They had one …. Saturday evening at 5:30 in the lobby concession area.  The cookies and raspberry bars were fantastic 😁

Old age is catching up with me, I saw she had several for the round barrel but I would have sworn I saw an octagon band in the bunch, I would have even bet my fancy hot dog lunch on it.....

If the new age is Artificial Intelligence "AI", then I am still operating under "OI", old-man intelligence, which is getting spotty after many years without an operating system update.....

Sorry I missed you in Ohio, I would have loved to shake your hand.

I suggest for the next meeting we establish a place/time for the WACA members to gather for a few minutes so we don't miss each other.

Best Regards,

She had 5 or 6 for the round barrel but none for the oct. barrel 1890. She thought She may have one at home and will let Me know if She has a spare. Thanks for the thought though.

Hubalek was a noted shooter that made some scopes.  He recommended using Lyman mounts. According to Quinlan the scopes were first advertised in 12/39 to mid 1948 in the American Rifleman.
