buck i appreciate your input.  no there is no coin slot. however....my dad was a 43 year employee of winchester starting in 1940.  to say the least i know that this piece is authentic, and is a sample used by winchester sales types to 'sell' the large overly expensive 'real' piece. last year i sold quite a bit of advertising (non-printed) memorabilia on this site, and also his  service 'pins' 5,10,15,20,25,30,40,  and a 40 year service certificate none of which were questioned.  not trying to argue with you, but simply stating the piece is what i say it is, it is not a replica or fake.  it's been in my possesion since my dad retired in 1983 and isn't in anyway concieveable to be a later 'fake'.  peace brother. 
  

Hi Monk, you sold a lot of it to me 😀. I never said your item was fake but rather was trying to help you validate it since your price is much higher than the market. For the record, I think an original is worth it.  Your known provenance of the statue is helpful. I can offer the patina of your item in the picture also looks good as the fakes tend to show a brighter bronze. Does yours have a felt bottom or an open bottom? Thanks my friend!

ps---if you'd like i can provide you with photos of the items i mentioned above, plus all the other items i sold including commemoratives and non-firearm items, copies of the weekly newspaper with pictures of my dad, etc etc etc. peace again.

If yours has a coin slot on the horses neck and a felt pad on the base yours is likely authentic and your price is ok. If this isn’t a bank then it is likely a more modern reproduction and worth under $100 as the market is flooded with fakes. Check eBay and you will see 4 for sale with only one being original and it is well used. If yours is just a statue it could still be original but I need pics of the screw and the bottom of the base to have a better idea. All your Facebook pics show just one side. Let us know and I can help you validate if it’s an original as it will help you get your asking price. Thanks, Buck
