I know it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack but I’ve found two correct early barrels in the last few years; the last one on this forum.
I need a .22 Short barrel for an early 2nd model 1890. s.n. 49xxx. The correct barrel would be either the 1st model, 2nd address (90-1), 24 3/8" or the 2nd model, 1st address (90-1A) 24".
Looking for a decent exterior with clear markings; no wrench marks, major dings or pitting. Minor dings/pitting might work.
It’s for a rifle that is 80%+ with around 40% case remaining on the receiver so it has to be a decent barrel. Bore isn’t too important. I reline if they are sewer pipes. I shoot rather than look…
