Hi Ben,

To your point, I believe the eye disc opening is for the Palma eye disc. I tried a standard Lyman I had lying around and it was too small.

Thanks Logan. Appreciate the extra info. Looking like my hunch is looking correct for the sight being for the models 52, 75, 70, etc but just without the appropriate mounting base.

From what I can find out I believe you are correct with the models 52, 75 and 70. Though I’m pretty sure you need bases for those applications. A base would probably not be hard to make if one cannot be found. Pretty sure these fit the Remington 513T as well, not sure if that application needs a base. Sorry I couldn’t be of conclusive help.

Need a little help please. As with most Redfield sights, it is a source of frustration regarding the lack of application codes on their sights. This Redfield Olympic rear sight is no exception. I looked everywhere on the sight for an application code with no success. Even removed the slide from the base, etc. but still no code. Are any of the experts here on the forum that are able to identify/confirm the makes and models of rifles this particular sight is made for? I was assuming Winchester models 52, 75, 70 but not 100% sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have another member on the forum that may be interested, but has the same questions that I do about it's correct application.

Selling Full & Sealed Box of 12 Rounds Of Vintage Frankford Arsenal Revolver .45 Schofield Cartridges Dated January 1884/June 13 1887. Manufactured at the Frankford Arsenal, these 12-round boxes of .45 caliber revolver ammunition were adopted for use in both the Colt Model 1873 and the Smith & Wesson Model 1875 Schofield. With the introduction of the Schofield Revolver in 1875, this shorter cartridge could be used in both the Colt and Schofield (with its shorter cylinder) and thus simplified the process of issuing ammunition. Box is in excellent condition and still sealed with the pull string still attached. Label is complete and fully legible. I took photos of all sides of the box. Asking $450 shipped. Selling Two Full & Sealed Boxes of 12 Rounds Of Vintage Frankford Arsenal 45 Schofield Cartridges Dated 1878.
