This box, as the title says, is a New Box, UN fired, Very Nice Display Box, for you're .405 Collection. The box was wrapped in cellophane that I removed for pics, as a glare or distortion, naturally hurt the pictures. The front face has some slight white spots, on the right side, that I closed in on in pictures, which is very minimal and one small spot came off, and the corners are very good with some slight marks, as most do. These shiny foil like boxes with the darker smoky background to enhance it's looks are hard to keep pristine, as the cardboard box is still very stiff, when opened to show pics of the cartridges, as it hasn't been abused or opened a lot. Using a flat tool to open, takes pressure off of the hard corners that get worn and abused fast and can show marks or creases in them.

Asking $135.00, including Shipping, for this 2008 limited edition full box!

Consider searching eBay as they have a good selection of old Winchester molds. The mold marked 45-60 WCF drops the same bullet as used in the 45-90 so that gives you other options. The same bullet was also listed as mold 45-70-300 as a light bullet for the 45-70.
The Lyman (Ideal) 457191 is a similar design and should also work well for you.
Please let us know what you end up with.

All Winchester M 1 Garands were manufactured for WW II. The Win 13 was the last group to be manufactured. They started manufacturing in June of 1945 after the war in Europe was over. They were made of left over parts and many did not get used during WW II. But they are collectable.

A collectable Garand has all the correct parts for the serial number range of the specific rifle. Most are parts guns. Many Winchesters have Springfield parts or parts from an earlier or later manufactured Winchester. Gas trap and sniper rifles bring a big premium. Early war production is also a premium.

Learn before buying and always take the rifle apart first. No tools are required.

I never get tired of seeing pictures of the octagon top receiver, and in the .45-2 7/8 caliber, S.S. rifle. It sure would be nice to stumble across one of these some day. How many have you seen in the wild?

Just the one in the picture I posted.

Other than the 40-70 Sharps Straight and the 40-90 Sharps Straight, all of the other Sharps cartridges are relatively hard to find. Based on my survey of the factory ledgers, this is the production total:

Here are several that I have found in the past:

Sharps 40-90 Bottle Neck (1 of just 2 made)

Various 40 Caliber Sharps ctgs.
