Need a little help please. As with most Redfield sights, it is a source of frustration regarding the lack of application codes on their sights. This Redfield Olympic rear sight is no exception. I looked everywhere on the sight for an application code with no success. Even removed the slide from the base, etc. but still no code. Are any of the experts here on the forum that are able to identify/confirm the makes and models of rifles this particular sight is made for? I was assuming Winchester models 52, 75, 70 but not 100% sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have another member on the forum that may be interested in purchasing it, but has the same questions that I do about it’s correct application.
Thanks,

Is this tang sight period correct to the gun? Or did someone recently put this on? It looks very old if that matters. Also, the gun dates 1942 when I look it up but the dealer thought 46-47. Thank for the help.

Very cute. I have a knife collection and one will turn green if I leave it in the leather. My safe has a dehumidifier. It's the leather or what they used to tan it.

I have a Single Shot rifle (40-70 Ballard claiber) that was originally purchased by W.E. Scagel (a semi-famous knife maker). The rifle was factory equipped with a long-range vernier graduated peep sight, and Scagel fashioned a leather sheath for the elevation staff (see the attached pictures). The leather sheath has been on/with the rifle since 1904, and thus far it has had no negative effects to the sight staff or the receiver frame.

Hi all. I am new to this forum but was hoping that may be with all of your expertise. You might be able to help me with my 30 WCF model 1894 MFG 1900. It has a double rear sight dove tail in the barrel. One has what looks to be a period correct insert. Have any of you ever seen this before? I greatly appreciate any and all help.
