The second screw in the top of the sight is a 'set screw' for sight "ZERO". When the sight's 'ZERO' is established, the second screw is screwed down to contact the bolt. This will not allow the sight to go lower than "ZERO". In the field if the sight is raised for a longer shot it can quickly and positively be returned to "ZERO" eaisly. RDB

My sight has two small screws. Is "the second screw" the rearmost one?

I finally got around to tightening this right screw which I did not know existed, although common sense dictates that it would, and I now know why the globe sight is loose. The screw to tighten on the right side is missing! Now, how do I go about acquiring a replacement screw?
I have a Lyman #5 with a broken globe with both screws present if you're interested. I would like to get $65 shipped for it. Let me know. Here are some pics:

Thank you for the offer. I’ll pass for now, unless you would consider selling me just a screw for considerably less.

Here's a slightly shorter one that I received on a 1935 M62 that had been to England & back.

The M62 was scoped (in the UK - Parker Hale bases, Winchester 5X scope), so I moved the tang sight to a very late (1940) M90, as shown in the photos. The windage adjustment is a nice feature. IMO, a well designed sight, but finish could be better.

These are referenced in Stroebel's Gunsights & Rifle Scopes book, bottom of p. 237.

Per the reference, the M90/M06/M62 version is the 10W.R., while the 10W.N. is for Winchester M92, M53, M64, M94, M55, and M65. I can't find any markings on the sight itself, and other than fit, don't know how to tell the difference.

That model of AGP (Parker) sight was specifically made to fit Winchester SS & repeaters. Not sure of the specific model. We often see them here in Oz mounted on Low-walls & 92's. Equivalent to the Lyman 103 with provision for windage & elevation. Built like a battleship and a great sight for field use rather than target shooting.
found it in my 1947 PH catalogue. Listed as the Sportarget Model 10W.N. available with in two staff or pillar heights - short & tall. I've actually seen them in three heights with an extra tall variation
