It looks good to me, but it does seem odd that the SFPD would have purchased Model 94 Carbines in the late 1950s.
There is the known (documented) batch of (80) Model 94 Carbine that the SFPD had purchased in the early 1930s and later divested in the early 1980s.  Currently, I have (31) of the (80) documented in my survey.

 Just a thought..... maybe SFPD isn't San Francisco but possibly Santa Fe.

 Sante Fe was still somewhat rural in the 50s at least more so than San Francisco.

Things are not nearly simple or consistent on the Model 1892 SRC's.  The barrel proof in front of the rear sight is the position for the 32, 38, and 44 WCF configurations.  But the 25-20 WCF examples had the caliber stamp designed as a two line style which then apparently left room for the barrel proof to be positioned aft of the rear sight and next to the caliber stamp.  And of course because this is Winchester where exceptions tend to be part of the norm there are the weird occurrences of 44 WCF carbines with the barrel proof positioned BELOW the caliber stamp!  On the attached portion of my spreadsheet the green fields denote proofs forward of the rear sight.  The orange denotes proofs adjacent to the caliber stamp associated with the 25-20 WCF rifles.  The grey color are the 44 WCF rifles with the proof stamp below the caliber stamp.

Correct Mark.  The examples above are for SRC's as noted in my reply and the sporting rifles did not have the room constraint due to their longer barrels.

Great time of year for a road trip to Cody! I'm very impressed with the restoration of the spectacular wood on your rifle. I had to check the earlier pics to see that it was the same wood, I'm glad they were able to use it. Mark brags on his stock guy and we can easily see why on this rifle. Receiver colors came out great. 

After all the trouble Mark went to for this barrel you know you're going to have to shoot it. Congrats, drive safely!

Are you planning on rolling the dice and shipping that rifle, or will you go pick it up personally?  It would be heartbreaking if that rifle were damaged in shipping.
