My rifle has a “sewer-pipe” bore, BUT! . . .

X-ray (aka RT) is typically not the correct method for detecting serial numbers. 

For serial number recovery there are two paths, the destructive path which are the more definitive methods and utilizes an acid etchant and requires polishing of the surface.  This method provides the best results. 

The other path is to utilize non-destructive test methods (NDT) such as Magneto-Optical or Magnetic Particle inspection using the wet fluorescent method (aka MT "Wet-Mag"). 

I am retired but all of my ASNT NDT Level III certifications are still current.  You are welcome to contact me directly if you have any technical questions or looking for a reputable lab near you.  I am familiar with large independent firearms testing labs in CA, NH, VA and PA.  For criminal work, the ATF and FBI have the best facilities for recovering serial numbers but they are very slow due to case backlogs.

Mark has been using that same solid red background for his pictures for at least 20-years now.  I enjoy chatting with him at the OAC show whenever I make the 3-hour drive south for a show.  You can't go wrong buying an old gun from him... definitely one of the "good guys" in his business.

I did the WAC show in Puyallup for 10 years, I bet I you enjoyed that show back when it was in it's prime. We were in the "Education Room' across the membership desk, during the Dennis Cook times. I grew from a half table to seven. My friend Dave Marshall used to make imitation ivory stocks.

My father had a lot of the commemorative 30-30s. We found two leather scabbards, with Winchester printed on them. I guess I cant post pics, but can someone tell me which guns these scabbards came with?

These were given out in 1982 with the purchase of any Winchester 94 from mid August to the end of Oct. I have uploaded the actual in store POP material Winchester sent to dealers so you can see it below. They tend to go for $150 or so today.
