218Bee,

In most cases there's a value or buyer for everything. IMO!

Especially for many of us Winchester Collectors. I could see someone displaying this with their Winchester Collectables, or even in a frame, amongst they're Winchesters in a gun or Hobby environment or room.

Our resident WACA members Gary and Jenifer Gole, collectors are known for their experience in these types of things. They could possibly place a better value on it than most. Not that they'd pay the most for it, but just help with an approximate value. Not knocking them at all, but everyone likes a deal, as most all of us Collectors do.

You might do better here first from a private Collector, or even on eBay. IMHO!

Here's their add, from the back of the Collector Magazine.

We live an hour from New Haven and picked this up at an estate sale about 35 -40 years ago. Story was the deceased homeowner or one of the immediate family worked at Winchester. I have narrowed it down to 1910-1915 as thats when G.E. Hodson was President. They only had this one sheet, and its looks to be in pristine condition. (I slipped it into a protective plastic cover and it’s been in a climate-controlled room since I purchased it.). Don’t think we paid a lot for it, and having it so long I kind of forgot about it. Just curious if this carries any value? Thanks for any input here.

They go for $50 to $150 for the set on eBay. However, I have seen some sellers try and get more including breaking the sets up and selling them individually for $20 to $40. This one is complete and worth more as it has the original canister and order form.

I have this set listed on this forum for only $115 Shipped.....but so far have had NO takers.

Tom,

Everything has some sort of value, as being a 1960 Winchester Calendar, I'm no expert on these, but have always noticed a few over the years, and on auctions, as the earlier ones seem to command a good bit of $$, especially if in nicer condition.

If you're interested in selling them, you could post an add with the pictures in the "Swap Meet section".

If you're looking for an approximate value, I'm sure a more familiar member might be able to help you with that soon.

Another good source of information is to check out eBay, and the other site's that might come up in a google search.

As Bert indicates, we would need much more detail.
And aspect of significance to me would be how much of this information or materials have previously not been known? For example, does the museum in Cody already have them.

Great question… I’m fairly confident these are the original's, but i guess they could have copies. Would you know the right person to contact at Cody to talk to?
What media format is this treasure trove of information in.... paper, microfilm, or digital? Do you have a detailed inventory or list of all the documents in this archive? Without a lot more information about the complete contents, it is not possible to provide any advice regarding the potential value.

It is hundreds of full conversations, all paper with actual signatures and notation, along with the original received letters or memo’s he was answering. Some of these are handwritten some are typed, but also all appear original. It was in folders some are full of correspondence between Edwin and Crossman, some folders contain nothing but mailed letters to Winchester asking him questions or sharing feedback about specific firearms, along with his replies back to them. They are all from 1930-1950 on period paper, letterheads etc. I am in the process of creating an inventory list.

I would be very interested in reviewing that list after you have it completed.
