I respect all you old timers.  These gun racks are really neat.  I knew I didn’t know what I was talking about.  I was more just asking questions with my assumption. I didn’t mean to offend buck if I did. I am definitely buying one if buck offers them for sale.  As I said.  I wouldn’t care if they were new.  That was all I meant. I wonder if he had them made and then Winchesters lawyers had an issue.  
  

I doubt that Olin Industries was ever aware of them, and am relatively certain that WACA was unaware of them as well.

Sorry my friend your assumption is wrong. I didn’t make any and have stated I bought 75 of them at auction and that is the truth. They are sitting in 4 boxes on 2 pallets in my warehouse. I did not post here with any intent to sell them and inquired solely because I wanted to know their history. When were they made, were they promotional items, were they for sale? I called the WACA office yesterday and spoke with Heather, sent her the pics and she is checking with a couple members and promised to get back with me next week. I had also called the daughter of the WACA member who passed away and previously owned these to inquire on her father’s name to see if any of you knew him. She just texted me and said his name was Bert Jolicoeur! Hopefully, someone remembers him. She also advised she believes he had them custom made and is going to look through his old papers to see if she can find the shop that made them for him. If true, then that explains why no one can recall these ever being offered. The question then becomes did he get approval from WACA and Winchester to use their names? My gut says no but I will wait to see what Heather finds out and report back.

For what its worth, David had six daughters, as well as one step-daughter.   
They all live in Maine except for Michelle (who lives in Ohio) and Tina, his step-daughter that lives in Texas.
So, I am still not sure where a CT connection comes into play.
I'll take one of each size by the way.. 😉

I did forget that. Do you remember any of these racks being in his possession? I would think that if they were it wouldn't such a big surprise to many of us as Davis would have gotten them out there, and more would remember it. That's why I'm thinking that my memory is off a little.

Hey Don,

The daughter is in Milton, Ct but the phone # shows New Haven, Ct so perhaps a suburb? I don’t know Dads name but I just left the daughter a message asking for it and will post it once I get it. He was a member according to her. He passed almost 2 years ago I think and she said they sold all his Winchesters at Rock Island last year including a 1 of 1000 which of course she said was his pride and joy! Appreciate everyones help!

They do look nice with the ammo shelf on them.
