Hello, I am new to this forum. My father and mother are down sizing. I have been put in charge of my fathers rather large amount of Winchester memorabilia and gun parts. His father was a Winchester representative in the late sixties and seventies. We have some really neat items that still in their original boxes from that time period. In the near future several Winchester and other brand guns. I was hoping for some guidance or info on collectors that would like to buy some of these items. Some of the signs are very cool and like I said in "like new" condition.
Thanks for any info!

Hi Vchmikey,

That is my specialty and I would be very interested in seeing what you have. We have a swap meet section you can post items up for sale. If you want an idea of what they are worth I would encourage you to go online to Richmond Auctions in Greenville, Sc and look up their past auctions as they have sold a ton of Winchester advertising and tend to get top dollar. Wards Auction is another place you can look to for seeing recent pricing although I’m not as sure about their site showing old auction history like Richmond does. Summit Auctions out of Richmond Missouri is another great auction house and they actually specialize in old Winchester and Hardware store items. Couldn’t be nicer folks as well and they have an auction coming up the end of July loaded with Winchester advertising and memorabilia! All great sites to help you figure the value of what you got. Keep in mind they all charge sellers a % to list items in their auctions and then they charge sellers a % to buy so that is money you can keep in your pocket if you can find a buyer here or elsewhere. Plus if you can find a buyer like me who might buy it “all” well that is a nice bonus. I would also add some folks are just sellers and everything to them is just a widget to flip and make a buck. I’m a Winchester collector and acquiring items to build a Winchester Commemorative museum which will house All the Commemoratives as well as lots of memorabilia, vintage advertising and lots of Winchester store items from the 1920’s. I even have bricks from the Winchester plant in New Haven when it was torn down! Gary and Jennifer Gole who Bert mentioned are great passionate collectors! They have done a fantastic job of preserving Winchester memorabilia and are kind enough to document that history in writing and pictures for the rest of us and also by sharing those items in displays at various gun shows around the country. I guess I’m saying, if your items surviving together and with someone who will love them as much as your dad does while sharing that legacy with others then - we are your people my friend! Look forward to seeing your items!

Start with a detailed inventory list of the items, and then add pictures when you list (post) the items.

WACA Members Gary & Jennifer Gole specialize in the Winchester Memorabilia items. You might try reaching out to them.
