Two questions about triggers–

My ’94 .38-55 has double-set triggers. When set, there is a bit of travel prior to its breaking off. Is there a way to get rid of the travel?

Another ’94 .25-35–has too hard of a pull. Can the pull be lessened by adjusting a screw (hammer spring)? Or do I need to get inside and polish? file? or seek a gunsmith’s aid?

We hunt with these rifles, and aside from carrying wear, we’d prefer to keep them in original condition.
