Won't do any good to tempt me, checkbook still in rehab and recovery will be a long process. Looking forward to seeing you and any shiny bits you bring. Don't forget Jeremy's sight, we're both looking forward to shooting that carbine. The 32 fan club might just have a new member soon!

Visited one of my favorite gun shops today. Since I've been away for the last two weeks I asked "what's new that's old...?"... I was pointed to a display case... a nice Winchester 62A... in it's matching numbered box... not "new in the box", but pretty close. I asked how long it had been on display, "two weeks" the reply came... I asked "are you open to a serious cash offer?"... yes was the answer... I offered, he accepted. I handed him the money and then asked "are there any more?"... yes was the answer again. 🙂 But they wouldn't be out till next Tuesday... I asked for "first shot" and three times the charm... his response was "yes, you've got first shot"... can't wait till next Tuesday... a minty Win 61 in 22 WMR and two 1890's... no boxes though...

The PR records show the last serial number applied on the specified date. S/N 1643 would have been applied sometime in mid April 1932.
