I was pointed to a display case... a nice Winchester 62A... in it's matching numbered box... not "new in the box", but pretty close.  I asked how long it had been on display, "two weeks" the reply came... I asked "are you open to a serious cash offer?"...  yes was the answer... I offered, he accepted.  I handed him the money and then asked "are there any more?"...  yes was the answer again. 🙂  But they wouldn't be out till next Tuesday... I asked for "first shot" and three times the charm... his response was "yes, you've got first shot"... can't wait till next Tuesday... a minty Win 61 in 22 WMR and two 1890's... no boxes though...

The PR records show the last serial number applied on the specified date.  S/N 1643 would have been applied sometime in mid April 1932.
