Don't know, really don't now, and know idea! Final answer... Yes!  That old Dodge Cummins TD will undoubtedly make the round-trip to Cody for the 22nd straight year.  404K miles and still going strong!

Good grief.... I thought Texans were loaded!  Since it seems nobody on WACA has any green to part with, I might just have to bring S&W's to the show... sheesh. 🙂 
  

My current ride is great on gas even if it prefers 91 octane. Problem is all those windows, doors, siding, trim and new roof from that tornado blew away any fun money I may have had. Besides, herd needs a bit of thinning.

According to Jeff's great M-69 Book. The slotted receiver was first done by Winchester on this model in June 4, 1954, for the Winchester, clamp style scope rings, naturally. Many of us collectors refer to it as a, "Grooved Receiver"!

I put $150 worth of gas in my truck and it didn't even fill my 36 gal tank.   The gas I use to go shooting has become the biggest cost to shoot.

Jim..It’s been my experience that these rifle were most times date/stamped with a 2-digit number under the wood, where the barrel tenon and receiver meet.  There’s about an inch space there where the number should be. I believe most have the date but I’ve seen a few without. . . . . .
