I have bought from them before. Just off their website, not this auction but have to your point found over the last year they have stuff listed at just ridiculous prices. I don’t mean a premium, I mean like 2 or 3 times what you can find the same item selling for on GB or GI. Weirdly they list a lot of their guns on GI as well so they will be in the middle of 3 of the same items where the 1st is $2,000 they are $5,000 and then the next is $2,000. I’m talking similar condition and all. I believe their sellers are all brick and mortar FFL’s but it seems you would check the market before posting and hurting your credibility like that. Conversely it hurts Guns.com’s reputation because I stopped looking there as a result. It’s a shame because they do provide superior customer service vs GB and GI by a mile.

Bingo! The opening bid on each of these is easily FIVE TIMES what they are actually worth. Brown guns don’t sell well anymore.
A GOOD auction is one where everything opens at $100 with no reserve and let the dust settle where it may, high or low.
The 1885 also lacks any sights to make even somewhat more attractive and it’s a low wall.
I would never deal with this company. They say they are 2A supporters but won't ship to Ca. I really dislike these kinds of dealers. There is no law that prohibits an antique to be shipped to Ca. Modern guns require that they be shipped to a FFL.

Hi Chuck, we do ship to California! Take some time whenever you have a minute and visit our California Compliant firearm page that you can find HERE. Hope you find something you like!

I strongly suggest that you revise your website to make it much clearer. If the first thing a potential bidder/buyer sees is this...

They are very unlikely to find your buried California Compliant firearm page.
As a side note, I am a Washington resident... do you also have a Washington Compliant firearm page ? Just like California, there are no restrictions on shipping bona fide "Antique" firearms to Washington state residents.

Hi Bert, appreciate your feedback! Let me dive into Washington Compliance and I will be sure to get back in touch with you. Stay tuned.

When I visited your site you list about 11 States you won't send guns to. One was Ca.
You say this rifle is an antique? All antiques can be shipped to a Ca. buyers house as far as I know.

Hi Chuck, thanks for pointing that out. We currently do not ship used guns to California but is something we are working on in the future. As you know, certain states have more hurdles than others and it makes it difficult for us to fulfill. As we continue to grow and get more resources and capabilities, we hope to have this feature in place. Hope that provides you a clearer understanding and we value your feedback!

No they did not. Never seen this before. I would find it hard to mistake a musket for a rifle but one thing catches my eye on the letter is that there is no barrel shape listed if they were entering a rifle. A musket is just entered as a musket and caliber, no barrel shape. I think this is a error by the person entering it.

That's what I figured since it's obviously a musket and not a "made up" one.

You say this rifle is an antique? All antiques can be shipped to a Ca. buyers house as far as I know.

I would never deal with this company. They say they are 2A supporters but won't ship to Ca. I really dislike these kinds of dealers. There is no law that prohibits an antique to be shipped to Ca. Modern guns require that they be shipped to a FFL.
