Help me out here, another 75 followed me home the other day.

I always admired the look of Vaver sights on a 75 so as luck would have it.....

Is this a factory outfitted G7527R or something put together after the fact.

Logan Metesh, Editor & Publisher, The Collector’s Wire sent an email to let the Association know that he wrote an article about the Fall 2026 issue of The Winchester Collector. In it, referring to the articles in the Fall issue, "that range of subjects reflects one of the strongest functions of specialized collector organizations." Most importantly, he notes that "For Winchester collectors, publications like The Winchester Collector serve another important purpose. They preserve research that might otherwise remain in private notes, collections, or conversations between longtime collectors."

There is a lot of very informative information in Mr. Metesh's publication. He also highlights The Ohio Gun Collectors Association (we have our satellite show with OGCA in September), the recent display by WACA member Eric Olson at the Texas Gun Collectors Association and the Civilian Marksmanship Program's preparation to receive 2,000+ Model 1897 Winchesters.

I have provided a link to the publication below. We'll certainly be looking for more articles by Mr. Metesh and the staff at The Collector's Wire.

Fellows. I posted a tip that was expensive for me to learn. I own no stock in the product I recommend. I have no financial interest in the product. I figured I was doing this group a favor? Then Bert sends me a massage that he wants me to post before and after photo’s of the results. Like I am selling something or lying. I don’t care if you try it or not, but it should be you that make that decision.. He probably won’t post this message either? He is impugning my integrity. I fought for this country. I am not a liar. It cost me to belong to this forum. It was not free. You members never have to worry about me telling you anything positive or anything at all, I really question belonging to an organization that is afraid their members will be swindled by a jar of stock restore.

Sorry, but you have grossly misinterpreted the intent of my reply to your posted message, and you have apparently taken unnecessary umbrage. My suggestion for you is to not take everything so serious.

Lin Speed oil applied lightly looks like the stock was varnished. I usually apply two light coats, one day apart and the results are amazing. I just use one finger to apply, don’t put it on thick. Two light coats are sufficient. Try it. You will like it. It will shine up an old stock. It won’t remove bumps or scratches, but it will give them character.

I know after the switch to lacquer, you could pay extra for a high gloss oil finish. I was never sure how they did it but suspect they used an oil/varnish mixture.

It's definitely a top notch display, I was in awe looking at it in Cody.

In case anyone's wondering Jim DeRossitt's evolution of Winchester display from the Volcanic to the Henry won his category, best overall and people's choice. We didn't have an award for best candy offering but he probably would have one that, too. Outstanding examples, even an iron framed Henry! Lots of good text and related materials.

Jim even found the time to do some recruiting for WACA with materials at his display. His neighbor at the Cody Show and in Denton had a Rocket Ball display that I found particularly interesting but I seem to have misplaced his name. Just two out of about fifteen outstanding displays.
