To some folks it's a sinister arsenal and to others it's a starter kit. I keep that number to myself because it's nobody's business. Besides I may miss one and hurt it's feelings. Guns can be funny about that sometimes, no sense in risking it!

We can't depend on every gun show attendee to exercise good judgement and safe gun handling skills. I think gun shows are safer today because their operators took a hard look at their safety rules and made improvements as a result of the OGCA incident. Like it or not gun shows won't happen without insurance. If we're going to welcome the public to our shows we need to assume they know nothing about basic gun safety. Common sense isn't something we can depend on today.

I am fine with the ties, but I can sure see cases where they would not be ideal.

I don't know but from the look on his face and the key fob in his right hand it appears he forgot where he parked his truck. Or he forgot why he was going out to his truck. It happens.

Ah yes stantions…..due to an unfortunate incident, we had to re-write our rules. All firearms will be inspected by an OGCA board member. If you are displaying and don’t want gun ties on your firearms while they are on display, they must be.1 inspected and in a locked case(s)..or 2. Inspected and stantions placed in front of the table.  Both of these options will allow the firearm to be displayed without a gun tie. We took into consideration the display of firearms and are aware of how they can  present better without a gun tie visible, yet remain safe. Stantions will also stop anyone from reaching over and touching anything they shouldn’t be touching, which gives most folks peace of mind as well. I’ll shoot you a pm with my info, feel free to contact me with any questions about the September show, right down to places to eat if you need it.
