While not historically correct there's something about an 1873 replica in 45 Colt that checks a few boxes for me. The outstanding wood in the OP and other examples certainly adds bonus points.

While the lifter is imperceptably longer to handle modern cartridges like the .357 magnum, it is otherwise very close in construction.to the New Haven originals. Notably, it has neither a tang safety nor a rebounding hammer.

Great looking Mistress!
All of the components (sights) are correct for a G7527R and the vintage is correct So I would call it a win.
From the photos it appears there is a bright ring around the screw holes on the sight like someone used too wide of a screwdriver. I would touch that up with cold-blue on a Q-tip or it will keep me awake at nights.
It also has the correct sling as a bonus.
Great score!
Best Regards,

Jeff

I did notice the scuffing around the screws and that was part of my questioning the originality.

Will do the cold blue trick and minimize the appearance.

You dont get to make Sammi comments or I will tell your old Dodge that you enjoyed riding around in my Ford 350.

Range report will be a while, its hunting season. Time to tote around a model 70 or two and use them as designed.
