One of my other hobbies is collecting and repairing old transistor radios. I recently found and acquired this early 1960's vintage General Electric Sportmate AM portable. One of my late Uncles had one of these when I was young and I always found it interesting and quite unique. What I didn't pay attention to back then was the silhouette on the grille badge.

Not directly related to collecting Winchesters, but interesting nonetheless.

Sorry for the rotated photo........

Hi fellow collectors. I am renewing the original post as I am seriously in need of teh Dealers or Retail Catalogs, - not the standard Firearms.

"I need to get the missing Dealers and Retail Price List catalogs and Price Sheets to complete the book (I am writing) and as I have a lot of spare Winchester Firearms Catalogs which I am prepared to post (or email if I do not have a spare) to anyone who can assist me by supplying a good electronic copy of the missing Dealers and Retail Price List catalogs or Price Sheets

The years I am missing are: 1985, 1986, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005. I would like better copies of 1982 and 1983, but can manage.

Sincerely

Keith

Sorry, but I am not going to reveal that type of information on this forum so that it can be used by the people who make a living building Fake Winchesters to sell to unaware/uneducated buyers.

If you have the serial number and/or pictures of said Model 64, post them and I will tell you if it is a Faked rifle. In my ongoing Model 64 research survey, I have a total of just (7) 32-40 caliber rifles, of which (3) are confirmed Fakes.

To Ben and Bill, do appreciate the comments on this. Don't know if you guys saw the '94 on Gun broker about a month ago or so, buy that rifle had a #38 on it. Missed out on that auction. I think it went for around $1200-$1400 on the sale? Can't remember the exact price.

Ben do you remember that #21 you sold me a year or so ago? Still have it even found a box for it, not marked for that exact number, but close enough.

Still thinking about buying this, I'm retired only a good investment.

Thanks again, Mike.

Bert is correct, I have a Model 69A Match rifle 10-gun crate from circa 1951 that came with 10 Model 69's in individual cardboard boxes, shipped together in the 10-gun crate with a similar label as Bert's.

I see your point though as anything pre-1890 was mostly in crates and curious to hear some of the other answers.

FWIW, here is a first year 1890 (solid frame) with the original (single) shipping crate.

Best Regards,
