Today I made a leather sheath for an old hatchet I have. Didn’t come out to shabby for a 1st time project. Does anyone have some good links/patterns/info pertaining to beginner leatherworking? I’m not looking to make a career of it or anything but do find the process interesting.

You might look at Tandy Leather online. They have a lot of reference material in addition to supplies

I agree with 1892Takedown. Tandy is a great resource and crafting leather is a wonderful hobby. I recommend you see if there is a brick and mortar Tandy store in your AO. They used to be franchise stores under the Tandy name but any more I often find their product sold in any old leather store. They have patterns for knives, hand guns, long guns, saddles, wallets, everything from very simple to very complex, tooling, stitching, etc..
