Hello all. New guy here only been a member since last year, have a couple Winchesters but nothing in the super good condition museum quality guns you guys seem to have (I like to shoot the old guns and have several that "condition collectors" would hate that I love. Example is my favorite 30-30 wss a ranch rifle that was on a cattle ranch in Montana for 80 years AND looks it! Anywho..anybody going to the Tulsa show next weekend? I have heard about this show for decades and will go for the first time. Tom

Are you hoping to find some to bring home?

By the way, I have some high condition pieces but I know what you mean about a ranch used rifle (for me, preferably a carbine). Here's a .32 Special I have that was a Western North Dakota used ranch rifle:

All these rifles were shipped to the gun store in this photo! This is a picture of Main Street in Bozeman in 1870. Walter Cooper had his shop on the left side of the street at the time of this picture. He moved across the street in 1872 and the Sharps rifles pictured here, were all shipped to that store in the late 1870’s. Two of them were in the same shipment in August 1877!

Shrapnel, I do remember when you got your highwall in .25-35. Seems to me you submitted photos of some gophers you shot with it soon after getting it? But I meant to baby sit Bert's single shot in .38-40 to go with the ones you pictured. You do have some wonderful eye candy, as Mike would say! Tim

This past winter I developed and loaded some special "Gopher" loads for my 38 WCF Single Shot rifle... a 180-gr Hornady XTP bullet sitting on top of 22-grains of A2400 powder.
