I spent a fair amount of time looking at dozens of the picture files of the records and downloaded more than 20 of the picture files.  Based On what I have seen thus far, the Hawaiian Civil Home Guard purchased many hundreds of Models 1873, 1876, Hotchkiss, Single Shot, 1886, and 1892 rifles, muskets, and carbines.  I will eventually create an Excel spreadsheet with each of the models, calibers, and the associated serial numbers where shown.

One was the 372665 that was the subject of the guy that made the Reddit post in the link that Tony posted but I got in once to see the pictures but got beat back with popups and ad's if I turned off my Ad Blocker.

The .40-60 Colt & .40-60 Marlin are the same dimensionally as the .40-65 Winchester (Introduced by WRACo 1884). They are not the same as the .40-60 Winchester (Introduced by WRACo 1887).

But may be called something else.   My 45-85 uses the (45-70) Win 45-85 no WCF.  The Win 45-85 WCF is the same length as the Win 45-90.

I was aware of Winchester being at the exposition. I do wonder where his sources for the article came from particularly his source for all the photographs? The photo of the Winchester display is different than the one I'm used to seeing. Its from the same angle but normally the one I've seen in the past there are a couple of men standing behind the display. I've also never seen the other photos of the BGI tool and UMC ammo displays.

Yes.  I have a .40-60-260 Colt Express rifle and it is the same round as the .40-60 Marlin and the .40-65 Winchester.  And by the way, it is the same round as the .40-70 Bullard.  The .40-60 WCF wasn't used in many other rifles from different manufacturers.  The Whitney-Kennedy is one example I can think of.

The correct measurement for all Winchester barrels with a milled dovetail cut in the barrel is .750" from the muzzle face to the forward bottom edge of the milled cut.  If you are measuring to the dead center of the dovetail, it will always be .9375".

Steve, I'm in agreement with you, as the front sight looks to have been shortened also to accommodate a shorter barrel! IMHO!
