Traded for a circa 1925 1894 today, had a D W King rear sight that looks remarkably like a Marble 65. Search function didn’t work for me but I feel this sight has been discussed here. It looks like it’s been there for quite some time, any chance it’s a factory option?

Did a quick search and only found this one in the ‘Winchester Sights’ threads

Thanks, didn’t see that one. I was pretty sure King and Marble had a relationship but couldn’t recall much about it. Will ask Jesi to do an inquiry.

Silly me, all CFM will have on this rifle is SNA info. I guess I’ll never know for sure but I suppose it’s possible it was put on at the factory. One thing’s for sure, I’ve seldom seen a bore that required a third “Foul Out” treatment to remove all the copper fouling. Just ran a patch thru it after the second treatment, lots of dark blue color on the patch. This old rifle will never see a jacketed bullet while I own it so I need to get all the copper out. Looks and feels very smooth, just lots of copper.
