Hi. What is the value of an 1898 Winchester calendar with a picture of two men, one standing over a large Elk and the other man kneeling beside the Elk and pointing to where the bullet hit the large buck. The caption  reads “The 30 did it”. It is 26 1/2″ tall by 14 1/4″ wide and signed by A. B. Frost. in two places. On the bottom right & below the elk to the far left.. The calendar is missing all of the months but the 12 months are printed on the cardboard. On the lower left corner it says Copyright 1897 repeating Arms Co. New Haven, Conn.  Above the calendar it says “Winchester Repeating Arms Co”. and at the bottom of the calendar it says “Ammunition”. On the left of the calendar it says “Repeating Rifles and Shotguns Single Shot Rifles, Reloading tools.” The Single Shot Rifles is in red letters, so are the Winchester and Ammunition above and below the calendar.  On the right of the calendar it says “New Haven, Conn. Metallic Cartridges, Paper Shot Shells. Gun Wads, Primers & (either a “C” or half of an “O”. Maybe a little is cut off but it doesn’t appear to be because there is a tiny boarder of white (Pencil lead thick) after the “C”. Also under the Calendar there is a scene of a duck hunter in a blind on the edge of a lake with his decoys set out.  He has two ducks beside him that he already shot and is firing at a small flock of ducks, downing one with his obvious black powder shotgun because of the smoke coming out of it. The advertisement is lying on a piece of cardboard with a sheet of plastic over it. The colors are good and the only damage I see is on the right hand corner where it apparently fell and crinkled up about a half inch of the print and cardboard and on the bottom left a little piece is missing, approx. 1/4″ X 3/4″ (Most of it being the boarder). I also have 2 early shotgun Winchester boxes. One 20 ga. Winchester Ranger red & yellow box # G534 Low brass size 4’s ( on the flap it says KA52EA62) I am not sure which one you use. Also a box of 25, 16 Ga. Winchester Super Speed # 6’s High brass Yellow on red, (has a price of $3.15 on it, don’t you wish we could purchase them at that price now?) Both full and in good condition. Also I have many Winchester rifle boxes, everything from 45-70 black powder, two pc. green label boxes to .303 Savage two pc. Orange boxes, 25-35 Yellow, black and red box red and yellow box, 38-55 red and yellow boxes, .35 yellow black & red box, 32 S & W Blank, yellow, white & red box, 348 in yellow, black & red box all in varying condition, some full, some half full etc. Thank you in advance for your time and interest. Stephen.
