I need quite a few more to catch up with my friend JWA, but it is not really a contest. These are all different types of the M69 series. Crummy photo, but the best I can do with what I have. The rifles are 100% correct down to the proper marked magazines. I do love my 22’s. All kinds. Big LarryDSCF0557.JPGImage Enlarger

Some are a little crooked. From time to time I put other rifles up on the wall and I cannot keep redoing the hangers as they are screwed into the wall.

My goal is to get at least one of all the Winchester 22 series. I still have a few to go, but I have most of the hard ones. Here is my favorite.DSCF0348.JPGImage Enlarger Thanks, Big Larry

Figure getting them all straight and level would be next to impossible, thought you did quite well. A little leather spacer in the holder itself may level them up if it bothers you.

Please tell us about the rifle on your coffee table.

The one on the coffee table looks like a VERY nice Model 56.  My absolute favorite Winchester bolt action rimfire sporting rifle.

JWA hit that one right on the head.

It is a M56 in 22 short, #1903 that I picked up from a Cabelas in Dundee, Mi. 1st year of production 1926. Got a great deal on it, so I decided to take a chance it was not bored out to 22 LR. I forgot to ask the seller. It was not. Has it’s very scarce and correct 2 rib short magazine with the 1919 patent date on the base, while the follower is marked, 22 Short Pat. Feb. 21-22. I think the proper magazines are scarcer than the rifle itself. Like JWA, this is my favorite 22 rifle. While not a big fan of the 22 short, I could not pass this rifle up. It is one of the nicest ones I have ever seen, and it is 100% correct with a minty bore. Someday, I will find a nice 22 LR, in the meantime. I will keep those 22’s coming.   Thanks, Big Larry

Big Larry,

Great display.  I like your hangers.  Can you post close up picture of the hangers as I’ve been looking for a way to display a 94 Trapper carbine that I have.

Thanks,

Al

It has been a while but I think the hangers are by Hoppes. I put the wood backing on them.   Big LarryDSCF0559.JPGImage Enlarger

Just finished renewal of a model 69 from  scrap pile found at a small gun shop. I need a smaller diop for the peep sight,  but  that’s nothing compared to everything else that was done to this poor gun. 20161216_143533.jpgImage Enlarger

Thanks.
With winter weather here in Oregon I’ll have to go to the indoor range about 25 miles away. It’s not the distance but I don’t do cities well. To much traffic and idiot drivers.
