Gentlemen,

I hate to sound needy but I am looking for some information in the 1941 “Component Parts Catalog”.  I don’t have that one and I am trying to compile a chart and it looks odd with a big data hole in 1941.  If anyone has a copy and can look in it to see what the refinishing costs were for Winchester rifles in 1941 I would GREATLY appreciate the info!

Also, is there a Component Parts Catalog for 1952 and 1958?  I don’t have those either but have never seen one for those years.

Thanks for all the help everyone has given in the past, I truly appreciate it!

Best Regards,

Jeff, I will check this evening. I think I have what you need. Is a scan OK?

We should pool our resources and scan these parts catalogs and diagrams so they would be available on our site. Good or bad idea?

Steve, a scan, photo or handwritten note will work.  From the Component Parts Catalog I am looking for the cost to refinish Winchester rifles, specifically the MODEL 69.  The page should look similar to this one from 1940;

If the prices are the same as this 1940 catalog then no need to scan, just let me know they are the same.

Also, since you will have the 1941 Component Parts Catalog open, look in the back and see if the #3263 Kerr Web Sling was still offered in 1941, it was in 1940 but not in 1942.

If there is in fact a 1952 and 1958 Component Parts Catalog I would love a scan but only need the refinish info for the project I am working on right now.

Thank you Sir!

The only “bad” I see is the amount of time and effort.  I am doing a research project between the years of 1935-1963 and just the Component Parts Catalogs applicable to those years are over 1200 bound pages (which have to be hand scanned).  They range from 75-95 pages in length, lots of good info contained within though.

Most of them are available as reprints online at places like Cornell Publications (except of course the ones I need like the 1941 Component Parts Catalog and the 1935 Retail Sales Catalog).

I checked which Components Parts Catalogs in my collection, I have 1934, 1940 and 1949. On the front cover of the 1940 catalog is hand written “Latest 5/26/41” which is probable the date of the 1941 catalog.

5/26/41 – Good to know, thanks.  I am still looking for info from the 1941.
