Was wondering if anyone out there has every come across any photos of the inside of the Original Winchester Stores? I know of at least two stores, one in New York and one in California. Or has anyone seen any photos of the inside of any of the inside of the Winchester-Simmons hardware stores? Always been curious as to what the inside would look like.
I have come across some pictures of ordinary hardware stores which happen to have Winchester Items inside them.
Interior of the hardware department located in McNamara’s General Store taken in 1913. Notice the Winchester Counterfelt on the left.
This hardware store has a Winchester Flashlight display on the right side but I don’t know where the store was or when the photo was taken.
Anybody else seen any such period photos with Winchester Firearms or Winchester Items in them?
Sincerely,
Maverick

I saw a few pics in a Winchester published magazine Jennifer and Gary Gole had at the Cody show–it was an article showing examples of the different Winchester storefronts with a few pics of the interior. I cant remember exactly what publication though.
Im trying to track down some interior photos of the hardware store in Seguin where the cabinets I posted came from. If I find some have survived I will forward along.

Neat old photo. I guess the 3 boys shot the bear, made a rug out of it and stuck into the store display case or something. 😉
