Been looking for a Thumb Trigger for some time now, but all I see are beaters with broken stocks. I recently came to the conclusion that’s the way most you find are. Anyway, I found one with an intact stock and nice bore. Imagine that. Paid a lot for it, and had problems getting it here, but I am hoping the sellers pictures were really bad and the rifle is nicer than I thought. It is due Friday from Montana. Pics if the gun is worthwhile. Big Larry

Not just this particular model; boys’ rifles seldom got much respect, and the cheaper they were, the less respect they got. Hope it’s what you want. (If not, there’s always Doug Turnbull!)
No thanks. There is a restored TT on Wards auction right now. Looks new, but restored. Has a walnut stock and they came with Gumwood stocks. I would rather have a beater than a restoration. The seller says 85%, but his pics are really poor quality. I will know for sure Friday.
I have a respectable M02 and M58,M59, and 3 M60’s. M1900’s are hard to find, but there are many nice M1904’s out there. Thanks, Big Larry

Hoping for the best, looking forward to pics. Been meaning to read up on the thumb trigger rifles for awhile, very intriguing design and haven’t found much written about them.

I can tell you one thing. They are not cheap. Especially the 98%ers which are never found. I missed one on the S&W Forum. The nicest one I have ever seen. I think it was well over $3,000.
They made some 75,000 of them and that is not a very high production number. Most were exported, never to come back. Cheap little rifle, so many were abused by youngsters. Very low survival rate, means high value for all, even beaters. Yep, pics will be forthcoming. Thanks, Big Larry
